In partnership with the Teamsters, Tropicana Orange Juice decided to
empower employees and create a team-based culture. Using the Implementing
Organizational Change course, The Fisher Group trained more than
860 managers and union members in the skills of creating lasting
organizational change. HR, engineering and other staff members attended
the Staff and Technical Expert Role course for special training
on how they would support the effort. The courses were credited
by both union executives and plant management for improving relationships,
reducing resistance to change, and providing essential skills.
The Indiana Technical Operations division of Bristol-Myers Squibb
has accomplished significant operational improvements over the last
few years including an 80% reduction in cycle time, 75% work-process
reduction, five times faster inventory turns, doubling of productivity,
improvement in first-pass quality yields from below 80% to nearly
