A global automotive electronics company asked The Fisher Group to help leaders be more effective in managing knowledge work teams of engineers, marketing and manufacturing people. Leaders were trained throughout Singapore, Germany, France, Mexico and the United States in a common set of competencies and perspectives. The program remains one of the most requested training activities in the company.

In another example, consultants worked with senior unit managers, union presidents, corporate executives and human resource managers in a large forest products company to create high-performance work systems throughout their organization. About 30 divisions were trained and one operations vice-president called the process "the single most important thing HR has ever done for this company."
